Actor, writer, director and director Stallone was born July 6, 1946, at New York City. The forceps-related injury that led to his signature "droopy" facial features was the cause for the birth of Stallone. The accident caused a nerve was injured, causing the actor to speak with a slur. Stallone experienced a tough childhood. Stallone and his younger brother, Frank, were adversely affected by their parents' hostile relationship, which later ended in divorce. Stallone had a few of his first years as a foster child. When Stallone was just five years old older, his father relocated the family into the Washington, D.C. area where he started his own chain of beauty salons. Stallone resided in Maryland for a long time, living with his father after his divorce in 1957. Stallone had trouble both academically and emotionally, and was forced to quit several schools.
